Dr. Jamieson Nichols

Dr. Jamieson Nichols (and her dog, Mabel) joined the District Vet Brookland team in 2022. She earned her veterinary degree from St. George’s University in 2005. Her post-grad training includes a rotating internship at the University of Minnesota, a private neurology internship in Tucson, AZ, and a Master’s degree in shelter medicine at Purdue University. Prior to District Vet, she worked in shelter medicine and emergency medicine. Her veterinary interests include neurology, dentistry, urgent care, shelter medicine, and pediatric medicine.
Dr. Nichols is a native of the Chicago suburbs, but moved to Maryland to be closer to her sister. Dr. Nichols lovingly pays the mortgage for several unruly dogs and mischievous cats. When not entertaining her pets’ antics, her hobbies include hiking, yoga, gardening, raiding her sister’s fridge for delicious leftovers, and following her favorite band, Guster, when on tour.
